The Milk Monitor collection was my artistic response to the birth of our baby daughter, born in February 2021. I wanted to convey the joys, stresses, anxieties and fun we had when it came to feeding and raising this new human being that entered our lives!
Volume 2 is a progression of the Milk Monitor collection. There are still all of the anxieties and stresses that any parent has, but we're getting so much joy out of our baby discovering the world through play. This is where 'Playtime' comes in. I wanted to express the fun our child has making new discoveries, and the joy we have interacting and watching her take it all in. It's been four months since the first Milk Monitor drop, my daughter has doubled in age over that time! To reflect that in the pieces, these bottles are bigger, the aspect ratio is now taller and all eight are rendered in 4k, double the previous resolution!
